CrossFit Injuries

There is a common misconception that high intensity exercise leads to more frequent injuries. In fact, you have probably heard, “Don’t do CrossFit, you will only get yourself injured.” However this has been shown to be FALSE. Research has shown that the injury rate is similar to other exercise activities such as running or weightlifting. 

But like any activity, occasionally things do get injured. The most common areas injured are the shoulders, the low back, and the knee. 

If you have been told, “Don’t do ______, because you will get injured!”, please reach out to us. You will be thrilled when you hear a different message from your Elevate Physical Therapist.
